As Hashimu Suleiman is receiving both local and international
recognition for a journey he embarked for over two weeks to covered 700
hundreds kilometers in other to honour the president-elect, General
Muhammadu Buhari as the new democratically elected president of Nigeria.
Another man from Yola has set out to trek for more than 900
kilometres,a journey he expects to spend three weeks to reach Abuja. He
considers the journey “a pay
back and a show of solidarity to Buhari” for what he has done for him
and celebrates him for being patient enough to wait for God’s appointed
time to win the elections in an atmosphere of peace.
Abubakar Duduware was in company of relations and friends with many well
wishers to the city gate of Yola where they bade him a fare well and
pray for him. He vowed to trek to Abuja to full fill his long time plan
he intended to do in 2011 general elections should Buhari emerge the winner.
His plans were aborted .Now, in 2015 his joy knew no bounds when
General Muhammadu Buhari was declared the winner of April polls.

“My duty is to honour him with my strength, appreciate him for being a
good man and to celebrates his gallant victory in Abuja”,Abubakar said
Mallam Duduware ,42 years old said,he was sentenced to jail as a
results of 2011 general elections because of his firm support of
Buhari.Nobody could bail him out only Buhari sent lawyers to defend him
and fight for his release
“I don’t have money or anything worth giving that can impress Buhari who saved
me from a prison life in 2011. His wife is from Adamawa .The only thing
I thought of is to trek from Yola to Abuja to show him my gratitude and
solidarity of his government.” He said
He added that though he planned to start
his journey a day after Buhari was declared winner of 2015
presidential elections but suleiman Hashimu preempted his plans.That
notwithstanding ,he said hisis a mission of gratitude to Buhari and to
wish him well and hitch free governance.
