Wike Dissolves Amaechi's Board

 
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has began the cleansing of his office by dissolving Board of Directors of Greater Port Harcourt Authority appointed by past governor Rotimi Amaechi with immediate effect.
The firing was revealed in a statement signed by the Emma Okah, In it contained the information that former administrator Mrs Aleruchi Cookey-Gam of the Authority had been ordered to provide all properties of the Authority to the Secretary of the Authority with immediate effect.
Mrs. Cookey-Gam had been the ex Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice and Secretary to the State Government, SSG, during the tenure of former Governor Dr Peter Odili.
The Rivers State government has also demanded the return to work of all refuse contractors who have been AWOL for some weeks now.
The contractors are expected at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt on Wednesday at 10.00am for a special meeting with the governor.
The contractors are said to be scared for their jobs, with rumours going around that Wike is trying to replace them with his own followers.
